Where Farmers and Shoppers Meet
The Union County Farmers Market is a great place to meet the locals and enjoy the freshest produce grown right here in North Georgia. Established in 2007, the market has grown to stretch three buildings with 80+ vendors on a weekly basis. You’ll find everything from original paintings and handmade crafts to fresh honey, homemade bakery items and, of course, plenty of fresh produce! When you purchase food at the market, you support a sustainable regional food system that helps small family farms stay in business, protects land from development, and provides folks with fresh, local food.
Pets (except service dogs) are not allowed in the market area. However, the Humane Society Mountain Shelter provides free covered pet-sitting in the parking lot near Building B.
A state-of-the-art canning plant is also located on-site and available for public use. On Fridays, come out to the Trash to Treasures sale from 8am–1pm, the biggest and best yard sale around.
DIRECTIONS
From Blairsville, Hwy. 515 east about ½ mile. Turn left onto Weaver Road (just past Home Depot), then turn right on Old Smokey Road.
